Based on twenty years experience working in senior leadership roles across education, local government and sport Michelle has developed an empathetic coaching style focused on the personal and collective transformation of people, communities and organisations. She is a popular and respected tutor for The Guardian Masterclasses. Her work supports individuals who want to achieve greater performance, balance and growth both professionally and personally. Michelle has empowered hundreds of professionals and has become known for her energetic and impassioned style as a coach and connector. As a former athlete and a current netball player Michelle understands the highs and lows of leading from the front to create a high-performance mindset. The key themes of her coaching include resilience, overcoming adversity and redefining success. Michelle provides coaching for boards’ executives, managers and teams including specialist programmes for people of colour. Michelle has worked with professionals, headteachers and teachers, high profile athletes and coaches, entrepreneurs, public and corporate sector executives, media executives, board members and Chief Executives.
Michelle delivers specialist advisory and consultancy for some of the world’s largest employers and global brands. As an expert in inclusive leadership, sport for development and strategic partnerships her global consultancy practice Moore Development works with CEO’s, individuals and senior leadership teams in business and governmental organisations to create solutions steeped in strategic insight and cultural context. Previous and ongoing clients include the London Mayor’s Office, The Commonwealth Games Federation, The Black Cultural Archives, The University of Texas and UNICEF UK.
Michelle has a staunch commitment to race equality and social justice and takes an intersectional approach to her work. Her consulting includes designing innovative inclusive leadership coaching programmes and seminars, race equity strategy plans, curating thought leadership events, diversifying the workforce, sport and social integration programmes and staff development.
As a specialist in local government management of PE and school sport Michelle played a key role in the London 2012 Olympic Games. She has an extensive background in designing innovative sport and social change programmes having worked in education, in anti-discriminatory initiatives in sport, government and Premier League football. Her advocacy, campaigning, policy and capacity building collaborations have been recognised nationally and internationally.
Michelle is a sought-after expert advisor for government and international partners on sports, physical activity and social change. She has advised the London Mayor’s Office on sport and social integration. Michelle has presented evidence at the House of Lords on discrimination in sport and regularly gives talks on identity, physical activity and social integration.
